Sushi 101 is a great local sushi spot that will curb your crave. The space is pretty small but they have a bar you can sit at for sushi. I've been a few times, and it never disappoints. They have some of the best vegetable gyozas I've ever had. They don't have cream cheese as an option, so if you're a vegetarian and like that in your rolls, maybe try a different spot.
The hours of Sushi 101 are difficult, they close for a few hours a day midday which is a bummer due to the fact I usually crave it at lunchtime. They are good with takeout and walk-ins! -

Amazing Hidden Sushi place.
Incredible quality!! Yoshi is a very talented itamae.
Omakase is my favorite way to enjoy Sushi 101.
Check out the "whiteboard" on the wall for the daily specials, you won't be disappointed.
I love this place!! -

I ordered take out through the Eat24/ Grubhub app at 8:48 pm on Mothers Day. The restaurant was still open, and accepting orders. 30 minutes later I get a call from Grubhub saying my order was cancelled because the restaurant was closed. As I'm writing this, it says on the site that they're open until 9:30.
I'm not waiting another hour to eat, so now instead of enjoying sushi for Mother's Day, I'm having miso soup. -

Little gem in the neighborhood! It's located in a small corner strip mall and it doesn't seem much from outside but once inside, it reminds me of small sushi eateries in Japan. Sushi menu is straight forward & focused; the ambiance is cozy & friendly. Fish is fresh. Be curious about their house dishes; they are super yummy.

I went their for a quick bite (like I only had 15 min to eat) on a Wed night a few weeks ago.
Ordered their vegg tempura. OMG - it was super authentic. The vegg was cooked to perfection, soft/tender but still with some crunch and bite. The batter was light, crispy. But the most amazing part was the tempura dipping sauce, it was piping hot, and the best I have ever had.
Then their ramen came out. The broth was so outta this world, stellar in fact. I ordered spicy miso. It was complex in flavor, spicy (just the right amount). It seriously hit all the right notes. The pork chasu was thick and a good texture (but a bit porky in flavor). The vegg was bean sprouts, bamboo and a few jalepeno slices. It came w a boiled egg but it was cooked thru (would prefer slightly runny like traditional Japanese restaurants).
Service was stellar. I wanted more of their picked cabbage/cucumber, they came thru and also gave me some ginger.
I can tell the chef really knows how to cook.
Their ingredients are premium quality.
This place is a hidden treasure! Glad I found it!
Want to go back to try the rest of their menu!
